Through focus and consistency in tracking and generate new prospective entrepreneurs, the Wirausaha Mandiri Workshop held during the year 2009 in 9 cities namely Bogor, Medan, Malang, Bandung, Semarang, Palembang, Manado, Banjarmasin and Denpasar. Workshop on "Bintang Wirausaha Muda Mandiri" themed was attended by 6.117 students from 125 state and private universities  from all over Indonesia.

Participants consisted of students who already have a business (60%) and alumni over the age of 35 years who has business (40%). All day long workshop was hosted by emcee Pratistha Agni (Miss Indonesia 2006). The speakers are according to business sectors that are contested in Wirausaha Mandiri 2009, among other entrepreneur in Industrial & Services, Food, and Creative Industry.

The major speakers include Ir. Ciputra, Rhenald Kasali, Kafi Kurnia, Moh. Nadjikh, Carmanita, Anne Avantie, Garin Nugroho, Franky Wellirang, Vicky Sianipar, and Anang Hermansyah. Workshop more specific regarding tips to compete and face the obstacles of doing business. Directors of Mandiri Bank also get involved as moderators for each speaker. The winners / finalists Wirausaha Mandiri Award 2007 - 2008 are also invited to share their experience in starting and building business.

After all the speakers appearing, music event staged as entertainment. Music event begins with a choir from a local college, and  followed by well-known Indonesian music group such as Gigi, Ungu, Andra & The Backbone, Nidji.
