Since held in 2007, has many important developments occurred in Wirausaha Mandiri Award. One of them, is the number of participants continues to increase. "In 2007 there are 488 participants from 26 universities. Then, in 2010 the number had jumped to 3294. participants from 412 universities," explained by Director of Bank Mandiri, Zulkifli Zaini.

Then, in 2010, Bank Mandiri added a new category that is most innovative entrepreneurs in the category of creative businesses, both diploma and undergraduate students and graduate and alumni. Then in the future, according to Zulkifli will be adding categories Technopreneur. Not only that, a series of other WM programs, such as entrepreneurial coaching, workshops, and scholarships are also growing rapidly. WM scholarships for students of any increase that is 200 students from 20 universities in 2007 to 1,000 students from 40 universities in the following year. Year 2009 awardees increased again to 1680 students from 56 universities.



In 2009, Bank Mandiri, in cooperation with the six state universities (University of Indonesia, Bogor Institute of Agriculture, Bandung Institute of Technology, Padjadjaran University, Surabaya Institute of Technology and Gadjah Mada University ) prepared   Entrepreneurship Module which is then used as teaching materials. "Now that Bank Mandiri has entered into cooperation with 268 universities to incorporate the module into the college curriculum," said Bank Mandiri's Corporate Secretary, Sukoriyanto Saputro.

Early 2011, Bank Mandiri WM develop more programs by organizing "National Entrepreneur Lecturer Series 2011". In this activity, the bank will present the national entrepreneurs to give lectures on entrepreneurship. Lecture is made directly to all participants in all 33 provinces with video conferencing technology is facilitated by the Ministry of National Education.
